Now meet the Crew !
Jim Rogers - PADI Master Instructor, EFR Instructor & Instructor Trainer
In 1999, I finally accepted that i was getting too old to be running around rugby pitches. Scuba diving had always been a passing interest so I took the 'plunge' and completed my open water course.
My enjoyment of all things underwater eventually extended to helping others discover what it was all about, so I qualified as a PADI instructor in 2003. I have now reached the level where I can teach a wide range of specialities as well as being able to assist developing future instructors with PADI.
In addition to diving in the UK, i've been lucky enough to have dived in Malta, Canary Islands, Barrier Reef, Maldives, Egypt and Truk Lagoon..
In have no specific favourite type of diving and even though it sounds cheesy, my real passion is teaching others, whether it be Discover Scuba or potential instructors.
Adam Rogers - PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor, EFR Instructor
Adam was introduced to scuba while on holiday with his Dad completing his junior open water scuba diving course at 14.
In addition to diving in the UK he kept his dives up with trips to Malta, Lanzarote and Egypt. Adam eventually embarked on a full time career in diving working for nearly two years in a busy dive shop in the UK. It was there that he completed his instructor course as well as a number of specialities ratings.
Since then he has been travelling the world for a year which allowed him to dive some of the more exotic locations such as Phi Phi Island, Ko Tao, Barrier Reef, Fiji and Truk Lagoon.
His favourite type of dives are ones where the water is warm, so he won't get cold!
Marcella Rogers - PADI Open Water Diver, EFR Instructor
Marcella developed a 'can't beat him, join him!' attitude to Jim's passion for diving and wanting to see what all the fuss was about, completed her openwater scuba diving course in Egypt.
Her main role in ScubaCrew is keeping Jim on a short leash providing a level headed approach and making sure all the I's are dotted and the T's crossed!
You will see her at every pool and openwater session providing support and advice, most importantly cups of tea after openwater training.
Mark Kellaway - PADI Advanced Open Water Diver
After Mark completed his junior open water course here in the UK, his next 12 open water dives were in the Barrier Reef, hard life!
He has recently completed his advanced open water course at Stoney Cove and hopes to get his PADI Rescue Diver qualification soon. His long term ambition, apart from playing golf on the PGA tour, is to become a diving instructor. In the meantime he will be helping out at both pool and open water sessions.
His favourite type of dives are night dives.
